Definition

Each form of attendance or absence is represented by an attendance or absence type. This type enables you to specify the attendance or absence.

Use

Work incapacity, leave, releases from work, etc. for an employee can be specified using many difference absence types. Based on these absence types, the system will, for example, automatically recognize the relevance of remuneration for absences, or the relevance for statistics and accruals, etc.

Attendance types are mostly used to document employees' performance and to describe the activity category.

Example

Work incapacity:

  • Sickness with medical certificate (paid)
  • Sickness without medical certificate (unpaid)
  • Industrial accident
  • Accident on the way to or from work
  • Accident unrelated to work

Attendances:

  • Overtime
  • Business trips
  • Works council activity
