Definition

The absence type in the original record for the Absences infotype (2001). For each possible absence type, you can specify an alternative absence type to which the system should convert the absence in the event of a missing illness notification.

Example

In the event of a missing illness notification, the system is supposed to convert absences for which the original absence type is Illness (0300) to the preferred absence type Entitled Leave (0100). If, for whatever reason, this is not possible (because not enough leave days are available, for example), the system should instead convert the absence to the absence type Unpaid Leave at Expense of EE (0700).
