Definition

If this field is flagged, the total reimbursed contributions and interest is rounded according to the interest rules. In this case, the interest is recalculated as the difference from the rounded total minus the contributions.
This procedure is only used if a rounding method must be entered for the interest.

Example

Use of the indicator:

  • Total contributions: 18,050 DM
  • Interest before rounding: 6,075 DM
  • Total contrib. + interest: 24,125 DM
  • Round up total to nearest 100DM: 24.200 DM
    ----------------------------------------------------------
  • Int. after rounding 24.200 DM - 18.050 DM: 6,150 DM

Otherwise:

  • Total contributions: 18,050 DM
  • Interest before rounding: 6,075 DM
  • Interest after rounding to nearest 100 DM: 6,100 DM
