Definition

An object type is a generic description of an object.

Objects are defined in the object type definition by specifying their components.

An object type is described by

  • Basic data, such as name, creator
  • Key fields for uniquely identifying an object
  • Attributes as the properties of an object
  • Methods with parameters and exceptions as valid activities on an object
  • Events for describing status changes
  • Implementation in the program.
