Definition
This refers to the location at which title passes during a delivery. The field is used to perform various functions during pricing.
- Specifically, it is used during gross/net pricing to default the gross/net rule at item level. This is done using the country and region where title passes as a key in table OICGN. This table can be found in Sales and Distribution master data. On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Logistics -> Sales and Distribution -> Master Data -> Conditions -> Gross/net rule.
- It is also used to determine which net unit should apply in a given situation. This is defined in table OICNU, using the country where title passes as a key. This table can be found in Customizing for Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream) under MAP (Marketing, Accounting and Pricing) -> Gross/Net Pricing -> Define relationship between gross/net unit measure.
You will have to define where the title passes for each possible value of Incoterms used. This field is maintained in Customizing for Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream) under MAP (Marketing, Accounting and Pricing) -> Gross/Net Pricing -> Define title pass location.
Example
Where incoterms FOB represent the customer collecting the product from the delivering plant the value of this field will be blank (title passes at plant location).
