Definition

The sales tax code represents a tax code that must be taken into account when providing tax returns for the tax authorities.

The tax codes are unique for each individual country. The tax rate and other characteristics are created for each tax code.

Procedure

Transactions that are not taxed are to be assigned tax codes with percentage '0' if these transactions are to be included in the tax return.

Note

If legislation is introduced that leads to a change in tax rates, new tax codes must be defined. The old codes, with the old tax rates, must be retained until all items that use these tax codes have been closed.
