Documentation
Definition
Determines the maximum quantity of a material that can be posted to scrap in a cutting transaction.
Use
"Scrap" covers the quantity difference, in the base unit of measure, between input material (issuing item) and finished products (receiver items).
The scrap leads to a reduction in stock; the scrap value is posted to an appropriate scrap account.
Note
You can define a default value for the percentage scrap limit:
- User-specific: Settings -> Default values
- User-independent: Customizing for Inventory Management and Physical Inventory under Settings for Enjoy Transactions -> Settings for Cutting Processing
The value that you define in Customizing is also the maximum value for the percentage scrap limit in the user-specific default values. This means that any value you define as a user-specific value for the percentage scrap limit cannot be higher than the value defined here.
You can also use Business Add-In MILL_CUT_ADDIN1 to determine the percentage scrap limit according to customer-specific requirements. If you determine the percentage scrap limit using this Business AddIn, the system does not take account of the user-specific or user-independent default values.
