If there is just one manufacturer part number for your firm's own inventory-managed material, enter the manufacturer.

Procedure
If there is exactly one manufacturer part for your firm's own material that is subject to inventory management, enter the manufacturer and the manufacturer part number.
If there are several manufacturer parts for your firm's own material that is subject to inventory management, you need to create individual material master records with material type HERS.

- Dynamization with manufacturer as additional criterion

Use
If your manufacturer uses several plants to produce goods, you enter the plant from which you want to obtain the MPN material in the list of allowed manufacturer parts.

Examples
The manufacturer Lamps, inc. uses two plants to produce goods: Plant 1 and Plant 2. As the quality of the MPN material is particularly high in Plant 1, you can specify Plant 1 as an allowed source of supply for the MPN material. You can also flag Plant 2 as a disallowed source of supply by entering a blocking reason.
