Definition
Specifies whether the system is to calculate the multilevel delay on the basis of an optimistic or pessimistic approach.
- Optimistic approach:
If the availability date/time of a receipt element lies in the past, it is assumed that the receipt element will be available today. The delay is thus calculated from the difference between today's date and the availability date/time of the receipt element.
- Pessimistic approach:
If the availability date/time of a receipt element lies in the past, it is assumed that procurement does not start until today. The delay is thus calculated from the difference between today's data and the start date/time of the receipt lement.
The optimistic and pessimistic approaches to the calculation of the multilevel delay are only effective in the case of the following types of receipt elements:
- Scheduling agreement delivery schedule line
- Stock transfer reservation
- Run schedule quantity
- Production order
- Process order
- Maintenance order
- Network
- QM inspection lot
- Purchase order delivery schedule line
- Shipping notification
- Forecast delivery schedule
- JIT delivery schedule
