Documentation
Definition
When selecting a matchcode, field values from the selected matchcode record are placed in corresponding fields of the current screen. The correspondence between the matchcode field and screen field, i.e. which screen field values are taken from which field of the selected matchcode record, is executed using the so-called field ID. The field on which the matchcode selection is to be initiated must always be supplied with the predefined KEY field ID. If other field values are to be passed from a selected matchcode record to the screen, a (3-character) field ID, to which reference can then be taken in Screen Painter, must be specified when defining the matchcode object.
