Order quantity for which the customer orders have been entered, but no delivery has yet been made.
Use
In the standard Sales Infomation System, the updating of this key figure is influenced by the following events:
- Entering a sales order: the open order quantity increases
- Entering a delivery: the open order quantity decreases
The open order value is updated to the <GL:information structure>information structures S001 and S004.
Two update rules exist for this key figure in the standard system. One update rule describes the setup of the open order quantity. Another update rule describes the decrease by the relevant deliveries.

If quantities are cumulated in different quantity units, *** is the unit displayed in the standard analysis.
