Use
The technical names of translation objects can be up to 70 characters long and are often identical to the names of the corresponding system objects. If a distinction needs to be made, then differences can occur.
Dependencies
Example
Identical names:
The transport object R3TR DTEL LXEOBJNAME contains two text types that are represented by the following translation objects:
(DTEL) LXEOBJNAME (short texts)
(DE) LXEOBJNAME (long text)
All objects have the same name.
Special cases:
- The first three characters in the object names of client-specific translation objects are either three hyphens or the client number (depending on how they are used in the workflow):
(ACGR) ---SAP_TRANSLATOR
(ACGR) 000SAP_TRANSLATOR
You can use either of these object names to call up an object directly in the editor (transaction SE63). - In the case of table types, the 31st character (or 34th character if the table is client-specific, see above) contains the package if the table has been divided into areas, or a plus sign if this is not the case:
(TAIS) LXE_ATTOBT +
(TADC) ---CEFORMT KBAS
