Use
If you want to reference a certain material for a particular process (for example, a reference material for consumption) when creating or changing a material master record, the system carries out a number of checks, for example, for recursiveness (such as ensuring that a material does not reference itself) or to make sure that the material referenced is not deleted.
If you set this indicator, these checks are no longer carried out. We do not therefore recommend setting this indicator. There are two situations in which you might consider doing so:
- In the case of specific performance problems
- If you want to dispense with these checks due to your working method
