Definition
Determines whether the administrative data for the material is updated asynchronously (that is, not at the same time) for outstanding maintenance statuses (table MOFF) and for technical data (table MSTA) when transferring data in the background.
Use
To improve the speed of data transfer, it is useful to set this indicator before transferring data. You can set up the administrative data later using the IMG activity Set up administrative data at a later stage.

The administrative data is required for the following functions:
- Finding out which user departments still need to extend a material master record, or finding out which material master records still need to be extended by a particular user department
You do this on the Material Master screen by choosing Other -> Extend matl view(s).
- Displaying administrative data
You do this when maintaining a material master record by choosing Administrative data.
