Definition

Specifies which procedure is used to settle the price differences for the cost object hierarchy.

With manual account assignment, all levels of the cost object hierarchy are settled to Financial Accounting individually.

• The price differences of the production orders or product cost collectors are settled to a price difference account determined through material account determination for the material produced.
• The actual costs on the higher-level cost objects are settled to a price difference account determined by the user.

Procedure

For each node of the cost object hierarchy, create a settlement rule that specifies the price difference account as the receiver.

This indicator is only interpreted when you are working without actual cost distribution. In this case, the actual costs entered on the cost object hierarchy are distributed to the assigned orders and passed on to inventory when the order is settled.
