Process non-billable items.

Use

Joint venture transactions are referred to as 'billable' if the recovery indicator to which they are assigned has the attribute 'cutback' set. If the cutback attribute is not set, the transactions are referred to as 'non-billable'.

The cutback attribute of the recovery indicator causes revenue or expenditure to be shared between partners in a joint venture. In this case the operator of the venture 'bills' each partner for their share of the revenue or expenditure and so the revenue or expenditure is referred to as 'billable'. By extension, expenditure or revenue that is not shared between partners is referred to as 'non-billable'.
