Documentation
Definition
The BW extractor generates several data records for a contract. It generates a data record for each time slice that divides the contract validity period. The target agreement for the contract is divided amongst these data records according to a rule.
A factory calendar that contains the days on which a time slice starts is recorded and this is used to define time slices for each sales area.
A time slice rule consists of a factory calendar and a rule for dividing the target agreement.
Example
The factory calendar JM (monthly) generates a time slice for each month. An annual contract for 12 ads is then represented in BW by 12 data records that contain one ad each.
Maintenance
Time slice rules are defined in Customizing.
