Definition
Contains the identification number of a node in a portfolio hierarchy. If you specify the previous and subsequent nodes, the tree structure of a portfolio hierarchy can be generated by means of the identification numbers of individual nodes.
The system assigns identification numbers to the nodes during the automatic generation of the tree structure.
How the portfolio hierarchy node affects transaction selection
The numbering of the nodes of a portfolio hierarchy always starts at 1. This is the number of the node that is referred to as the root node.
By specifying the portfolio hierarchy node, you influence the Risk Management evaluations as follows:
- If you choose node 1 in the portfolio hierarchy, then the system values the entire portfolio hierarchy.
- If in the portfolio hierarchy you choose node 0, or no node at all, then the system selects all the transactions that are assigned to a view (flexible use of characteristics), even if thosetransactions are not part of the portfolio hierarchy. In the case of fixed use of the characteristics, the system selects all the transactions that exist for segment.
- If you choose a node with an identification number greater than 1, then the system selects all the transaction that belong to the branch of the portfolio hierarchy from this node.
You can use analysis characteristic values as selection criteria to make the selection of transactions more specific.
