Definition

The periodic effective capital is the basis for calculating linear markup rates (e.g. risk costs) based on the effective committed capital at the payment dates.

Use

The effective committed capital is constant between two payment dates. It is calculated using the effective capital at the payment date, which is weighted with a factor reflecting the relationship between the exponential interest rate and the linear interest rate for the period up to the next payment.

The periodic effective capital is calculated in such a way that the present value is equal to the periodic imputed costs. The calculation is carried out by:

The periodic effective capital can also be transferred using the external data transfer function.
