Documentation
Definition
If this indicator is selected, the order items in Media Sales and Distribution for this media product family are recorded in publication dates. The system checks whether the start or - in the case of limited order items - the end of the validity period is a publication date for the media product family.
The input help on the valid-from and valid-to dates in the order items in M/SD lists the media issues in the media product family with their copy numbers for selection.
The billing period can differ from the validity period. The start and end of the billing period are not recorded in publication dates of the media product family.
Use
Select the indicator for magazines (non-dailies) whose price base in the order is a unit price.
Do not select the indicator for daily newspapers.
Requirements
If several media products exist for a media product family, you must ensure that the media issues of these products have the same copy number on one publication date.
Exceptions
- The check on the validity period for publication dates does not take place during data transfer from the legacy system.
- Unlimited changes and their predecessors are also excluded from the check, since these primarily result from relocations of ship-to parties and do not depend on the publication frequency of the media product family.
Note
Moving the publication date of a media issue does not affect the relevant order items. The order items that begin or end with this media issue can be modified for each publisher by batch input.
