Definition
You can reproduce complex media products using a maximum of three hierarchy levels. These are as follows:
- Media product family (highest hierarchy level)
- Media product (middle hierarchy level)
- Media issue (lowest hierarchy level)
Example
A newspaper is reproduced as follows using the individual hierarchy levels:
- Media issue: Data for the actual newspaper that is published on a specific day.
- Media product: Data for a regional issue that is not however assigned to a specific publication date.
- Media product family: High level data for all regional issues on all publication dates.
