Definition

The system determines the respective billing type during the billing run. The movement type can serve as an influencing factor in this process. For outpatient cases, the visit type to which the service is assigned is used here. If a service is not assigned to a visit type, as an alternative, the system uses the visit type of the first outpatient visit that takes place.

• If you select this indicator, you can modify the default procedure described above to the effect that the system always uses the visit type of the initial visit when determining the billing type for outpatient cases, even if a service is explicitly assigned to a visit with another visit type.
• If you do not select this indicator, the standard determination procedure described above is used.
