Definition
The distribution percentage rate specifies how an appropriation request is divided among several requesting organizational units on the basis of percentages. Requesting organizational units can be cost centers, business areas, profit centers, divisions, and material classes.
The following rules apply to the distribution percentage rate:
- The distribution to cost centers, business areas and profit centers has to equal a total of 100%.
When you distribute by cost centers, the system automatically extrapolates the corresponding distribution for business areas and profit centers. However, it is also possible to distribute only by business areas and profit centers.
- The distributions for division and material class are independent of each other. They each have to equal 100%.
