Depending on the nomination context, the nomination status can refer to different processes. For more information, see Nomination Context.
The system stores the nomination status in the infotypes Key Indication (7400) or Relationships (1001) as follows:
- Status Nominated and Approved
If you set the status to Nominated or Approved, the system creates an appropriate infotype record and stores the status there.
- Status Rejected
In the context of assigning an employee to a talent group as a talent, the Rejected status is also available. The system derives the Rejected status as follows:
- It checks whether the existing record of the Relationships infotype is delimited with the corresponding subtype and the status Nominated or Approved, meaning that it is not valid until the highest system date.
- It checks whether the reason for the rejection of the assignment to the talent group has been specified.
If both conditions are fulfilled, the system derives that the employee#s assignment to the talent group was rejected and thus displays the Rejected status.
The status Rejected does not exist for the other contexts. If an infotype record that has the status defined as Nominated or Approved is delimited and no follow-on record exists, the system thus derives that the nomination or approval was rejected.
