Definition
The effective duration of a business event is the number of days on which the business event actually takes place. It is calculated as follows on the basis of the business event schedule chosen:
Effective business event duration = Total duration - Number of days off
The total duration is the same as the highest day number in the day schedule selected or in the user-defined schedule.
The number of days off is derived from the number of unreserved days (gaps) in the day schedule selected or in the user-defined schedule.
In the case of business events that recur on a weekly or monthly basis, the value calculated is multiplied by the number of dates.
Procedure
No input is required here since the business event duration (in days) is calculated automatically by the system.
