Definition
Use
In order to calculate a duration, the limit date has to be either searched in infotypes or defined by a customer function. The sequential number enables users to prioritize data accesses.
As soon as the limit date is found, searching is stopped.
Dependencies
Example
For a specific processing area, age is calculated by searching a technical date in infotype 0041, and then if no date was found by searching date of birth in infotype 0002.
In this case there are two sequential numbers for searching dates in order to calculate the age for the given processing area.
