Definition
Specifies the release status of a purchase requisition. The release indicator specifies whether:
- The purchase requisition is fixed (that is, it will not be changed again by material requirements planning)
- An RFQ or a purchase order can be created for the requisition
Use
The release indicator is determined at the time of creation via the release strategy that applies to the purchase requisition.

Procedure
- Determine how purchase requisitions may be further processed after they have been released (approved) by the relevant release point.
- Then enter the corresponding release indicator.
