Documentation
Definition
The Non Standard Options indicator can be set as one of your selection parameters for the Participant Statistics Report (RPUFBN02). You set this indicator when you wish to output data on employees who have chosen benefits plan options that are different from the standard plan option on offer.
Use
Set this indicator when you wish report RPUFBN02 only to report those employees who have chosen a non-standard benefits option.
If you do not set the Non Standard Options indicator, report RPUFBN02 produces a total number of participants in each benefits plan, and does not differentiate between those employees who have opted for standard or non-standard plan options during enrolment.
Example
Using a Life Insurance Plan as an example, your organisation sets the standard coverage option for the plan as four-times salary. However, you determine that employees can also opt for two-, three-, or five-times salary coverage options during annual (open) enrolment.
When the open enrolment period is closed, you run report RPUFBN02 and set the Non Standard Options indicator. The Participant Statistics Report will now produce a listing of all employees who have chosen a Life Insurance Plan option other than four-times salary.
