Documentation
Definition
Valid-to date of service in the format "day month year".
Start and end dates are particularly relevant for extended services (for example, nursing charges), since overlaps must not occur here.
For immediate services (for example, perform blood count), the same service may be entered several times a day for the same case.
Supplementary Documentation - ENDDTLEI 0001
Use
When you enter services, the system proposes the valid-to date of a service.
Depending on whether you call the service entry transaction with regard to a case or a movement, the valid-to date is proposed as follows:
- You call service entry with regard to a case by choosing the required case row in the case list.
- For extended services, the system proposes the discharge date as the service end date. If the case is not yet discharged, the system sets the end date to 12/31/9999 (unlimited).
- For immediate services, the system proposes the admission date with inpatient and day patient cases and the visit date of the first outpatient visit with outpatient cases.
- You call service entry with regard to a movement by choosing a movement row of the case in the case list.
- For extended services, the system proposes the movement date of the subsequent movement (except absence) as the end date. If no subsequent movement exists, the system sets the end date to 12/31/9999 (unlimited).
- For immediate services, the system proposes the movement date of the chosen movement as the end date.
