Definition
Specifies the variable order unit in SAP DMF. This determines which units can be used for rounding and ordering.
Use
You can set the variable order unit to one of the following:
- The variable order unit is allowed for rounding and ordering. All units in the intersection of the defined units for the product, the unit of measure group for the target location and the unit of measure group for the source location are allowed units for rounding and ordering. The default order unit is always allowed for rounding and ordering.
If the alternative rounding rule is equal to 2, the default order unit is the smallest unit allowed for rounding and ordering.
- The variable order unit is allowed for rounding, not for ordering. All units in the intersection of the defined units for the product, the unit of measure group for the target location and the unit of measure group for the source location are allowed units for rounding. The default order unit is always allowed for rounding. If the alternative rounding rule is equal to 2, the default order unit is the smallest unit allowed for rounding. The only possible unit for ordering is the default order unit.
- The variable order unit is not allowed. The quantity will be rounded and ordered only in the default order unit.
