Definition

Depending on number of output lines you chose and the amount of available master data, the address and telecommunications data of customers are completely or partially issued.

The issue of the address of a customer is carried out according to the postal rules of the country in which the address is located. This may result, for example, in the street not being issued if a post office box exists, or in mandatory blank lines being inserted. If the number of lines to be issued is lower than the maximum output volume, the selection of address data is carried out by means of a priority list which is influenced by the country of the address.

The data is always issued in the language you specified in the customer master record.

Telecommunications data is issued on the basis of the following priority list:

  • telephone 1
  • telephone 2
  • telefax
  • telex
  • data line
  • teletex
  • telebox

If no values exist in the master record for parts of this data, the available information moves up in the priority list or in the output

sequence.

You can suppress the output of data in the form described here if you do not select this parameter.

If you select this parameter and the alternative parameter "X - address and telecom (master)" at the same time, the last parameter has priority.

Use

You can vary the output, from a short list (name, language, telephone-1) to the complete, correctly (for purposes of posting) edited display of all the data required for communication with a customer.
