Documentation
Definition
The field specifies whether a customer enhancement is known to a structure or table. (Information about customer enhancements are regularly collected via Early Watch ).
Use
As the enhancement classifiction was introduced in Basis Release 6.20, yet the customers could long before enhance structures and tables modification-free (no change at SAP objects that effects a transport recording) without any restriction, it is important to know - for the choice of the enhancement - which customer enhancements exist. A detailed statistic can be displayed for every structure or table using the report RSCIAP.
Dependencies
An according Checkman Check (Id: BC_EWCIAP) exists, which checks that the enhancement selected by the developer complies with the customer data and also covers it. This is necessary in order that a customer can keep his/her previous enhancements after an upgrade to Basis Release 6.20 or higher. Exemptions to this regulation only apply in exceptional cases. The according special licence must then be defined at the Checkman Check.
