Definition

Specifies the object, for which the simulation is to be executed. Within the simulation, the product structure of a material is exploded in iPPE, during which an available characteristic value assignment for that particular object is taken into account.

Use

  • Material

    The system firstly uses a characteristic value assignment for the item variant of the iPPE. Should this not be available, the system checks in the sequence stated below, whether characteristic value assignments are available at each particular point, and then takes these into account during the simulation.

    • Material master: plant-specific configuration, tab page: Material Requirements Planning 3
    • Material master: cross plant configuration, tab page: Basic Data 2
    • Explosion according to validity parameters
    • Characteristic value assignment on the initial screen of the configuration simulation.
  • Filter

    The system executes the simulation using the characteristic value assignment from the filter.

  • Focus

    The system executes the simulation using the characteristic value assignment from the focus.
