Definition
Indicates that the system reorganizes the change statuses of BOM headers and items whose effectivity ends before a specific date.
Use
If you select this option all relevant alternative BOM data that contains at least one entry that expired before the key date, is placed in the archive.
During the subsequent deletion run, only the data records whose effectivity ended before the key date, are deleted.
Example
For example, if an item in an alternative is no longer valid, all BOM headers for this alternative (with different validities) are archived. This guarantees that the assignment of the item to the BOM is supported at each and every period.
During the subsequent deletion run, the system only deletes the item.
