Definition

Specifies the term key, which references to a commodity pricing engine (CPE) term.

Use

A commodity pricing formula has to include at least one term. A term is used to calculate a rate (value, currency, price unit, and UoM) for a certain commodity. The value of all terms included in a formula is then combined to give the formula value.

The attributes of a term are as follows:

• Term calculation type
Defines how the term rate is calculated
• Term rule
Defines the calculation rule, the surcharge rule, and the period determination rule
• Quotation source, type and name or quotation group
Defines the price quotations to be read
• Data of a reference document
Required if the term value is to be taken from another item
• A fixed rate
Defines the term value directly
• Two fields
For free use

Also, conversion rules and rounding rules can be assigned to a term, and the use of a term can be restricted to one condition type or to certain areas of the calling application.
