Documentation
Definition
Defines the unit of measure (UoM) of the product of the document item, which is used by the commodity pricing engine (CPE) to properly convert the document item quantity into the commodity quantity.
Use
When the appropriate quantity conversion rule, for example 20 (Manual Factors), is selected in a CPE formula, then the commodity quantity, commodity UoM, item quantity, and product UoM are used for the conversion.
If the product UoM is empty, then its value will be filled by the document item UoM.
If the product UoM is not the same as the document item UoM, then the conversion factors between the two units have to be maintained in the material master.
Dependencies
Example
The document item quantity is 50 pieces.
Commodity UoM: KGC
Commodity quantity: 0.500
Item quantity: 1
Product UoM: PC
Quantity conversion rule 20 will convert the 50 pieces into 25 KGC.
