Definition

Specifies where in the formula evaluation a conversion or rounding may occur.

Use

The conversion might be a conversion from one rate format (including currency, pricing unit and unit of measure) to another or a conversion between currencies or units of measure only.

During the formula definition, certain conversion and rounding rules can be assigned to various conversion places. Whenever the formula evaluation reaches the source code for these places, the logic then follows the rules.

The Conversion Place 0 is defined as a generic entry. Using this you can assign conversion and rounding rules to all places where no other specific entry exists within the commodity pricing engine (CPE) formula.

New conversion places can be defined in the Customizing activity Define Conversion Place during Evaluation whenever they are needed in customer-specific source code.

Dependencies

The customer name space for Conversion Places is 5000 to 9999.
