Definition
Determines that in general preliminary requirements are generated in the form of planned independent requirements and preliminary purchase requisitions.
You can only generate real requirements in the form of reservations and purchase requisitions for components whose higher-level assembly has been entered as an assembly item.
Similarly components that do not have a material number cannot be procured in advance. This type of component can only be procured directly.
Dependencies
If you do not select this indicator and you have selected the indictor Multi-level for BOM-explosion then there is a risk that requirements are generated by both the network and material requirements planning - producing excess requirements.
