Definition
Specifies the divisor for the relationship between the number of awards (stock options) granted and the number of distributed shares in the long-term incentive plan.
If there is not a one-to-one relationship in your enterprise between the number of awards (stock options) granted and the number of shares distributed, you need this relationship.
Example
In your enterprise you have performed a stock split with the ratio 1:3. There are now three times as many shares in circulation as before the split.
However, in your long-term incentive plan, the same number of approved shares is recorded as before the stock split.
You depict this in the system by entering "1" in the Dividend field and "3" in the Divisor field.
After the stock split you grant your employee, Anne Miller, 300 awards (stock options). The system increases the number of distributed shares by 100 in the corresponding long-term incentive plan.
Dependencies
If you perform the stock split in the system using the appropriate report, the system fills the Dividend and Divisor fields automatically.
