Definition
Class type for classifying objects that are to be transported from one SAP System to another using ALE (Application Link Enabling). In ALE, the Classification System is used to define distribution lists. The assignment of an object to a distribution class indicates the recipient of the object.
Use
You can only create one distribution class type for each object type.
Examples
In a company with several sites, data is to be transported to the sites. The data to be distributed is classified - according to region, for example.
