Documentation
Definition
Groups together a number of similar cost components of a cost component structure for informational purposes.
You can evaluate cost components:
- in the information system
- in the costed multilevel BOM
- in self-programmed reports
Procedure
Assign a cost component to a cost component group by entering in Customizing for Product Cost Planning the key for the cost component group in the attributes for the cost component.
Use
You can assign two different cost component groups to one cost component. On display of the costing results, you can choose between the two cost component groups.
Examples
- You have executed a group cost estimate, and want to view the partner cost component split in the information system. The costs are grouped into cost component groups. When the split is displayed, you can switch between the two cost component groups.
You can use the entries for two cost component groups in the attributes for the cost component to decide, for each cost component, whether the costs should be displayed, and through which group.
- You have executed a costing run and want to display the results in the information system. In the initial screen, you can choose the cost component group for which the report is to be called.
