Definition

Based on the selection entered, a check is run for each company to see whether the Contra Item/Retained Earnings program has already been run in update mode for any of the existing periods.
Only the last update run can be taken into account.

When the companies have been selected and an update made in the chosen period, you must check that for these companies the Contra Item/Retained Earnings program is run again, if necessary, in update mode successively for all the following and relevant periods, up to and including the period listed.
If this does not take place, it could lead to misleading item balances.
