Long text in BOM items is taken into account during export and import to cFolders according to this entry.
Use
The default behaviour, i.e. if this flag is not set, is:
If there is an item long text in the backend system, the item long text (and 'short text') is completely ignored during export and import to cFolders.
If there is no item long text in the backend system, the item 'short text' (two times 40 Characters) is included during export and import to cFolders. During import some text may be lost (if the text in cFolders is to long). During the automatic re-export this text will be exported to cFolders, so the text in cFolders will also be truncated. But, the complete (not truncated) text is still available in cFolders in a previous version of the BOM.
If the flag is set:
The system will take the complete item long text into account during export and import.
Since there is no text format information in cFolders, some of this information will be lost during the import from cFolders.
Attention
If a BOM with an item long text is successfully transported from cFolders and the flag was not set, no long text appears in the back-end system. If you now set the flag and transport the BOM again, (without making any changes to the BOM in the cFolders system) the item long text will still not be transported from cFolders. The reason for this is that no changes were made to the BOM in the cFolders system in the time between the two transports. The current version in cFolders will be overwritten by the current version in the back-end system.
Solution:
You must make some kind of change to the BOM in cFolders in order for the long text to be transported.
