Definition

Use

You can create the components, or parts, (analysis, single transaction costing, and credit limit) of financial objects either automatically when you create the original transaction (financial object integration) or at a different point in time (manually or using external data transfer). You define in Customizing which of these methods you want to use.

If you use financial object integration, you have to set each component to active for the original transaction ("application") and for the company code.

This applies for the following transactions:

  • Loans
  • Class positions in securities accounts
  • Class positions in futures accounts
  • Derivatives
  • Foreign exchange
  • Money market transactions

If you have set the Component Active indicator, you can then use the radio buttons to control how the system handles the transactions when there are errors:

  • Completely active: The transaction cannot be saved
  • Partially active: The transaction can be saved, but the data for the component is not saved.

If you have not set the Component Active indicator, then the system ignores these settings.
