Documentation
Definition
Controls the date type of payment cards.
Use
With this indicator, you can assign a day or month format to the payment card valid-from and expiration dates. In this way, you can enter payment card dates in the sales order more flexibly. For example, instead of giving day, month and year, you may choose to enter only month and year (as dates most often appear on a card).
If you choose month format, the system automatically calculates a day for internal use. As a rule, it assigns the first day of the month for the valid-from date, and the last day of the month for the expiration date.
Example
You have chosen "month" as date type. You enter '0204' as expiration date in the sales order. The system sets the expiration date as '20040229' (February 29, 2004).
