Use
A posting area represents an area of a business process, for which certain data is to be automatically determined by the system, for example account numbers, predefined values, default values for certain fields and other settings.
Posting areas can be broken down into:
- Posting areas for all application areas (for example, posting area used to identify a tax account from tax code)
- Posting areas for more than one application area (for example, posting area used to determine the default values for incoming payments). You can make a number of different settings per application area.
- Application-specific posting areas
You determine the application area that you are to use either under user parameters or during general selection of the application area Proceed.
