Documentation
Definition
Defines that the budget structure is created with BS schema.
Use
If you set this indicator, you can simplify the definition of the BS.
A BS schema groups each commitment item together with the same object indicator budget object and/or posting object.
By defining the BS you can assign a BS schema to each of your funds centers. The system then defines the object automaticaly for all commitment items in the funds centers that are included in the schema as soon as you execute program Budget structure: generate object from BS Schema (BPCARRG0).
If you do not set this indicator, you must edit the whole funds center and funds commitment hierarchy yourself for the budget structure definition and, in each case, flag a funds center/commitment item as budget object and/or posting object.
Procedure
Examples
Dependencies
After you have created a BS with schema, you must execute the program to generate the budget objects and posting objects (BPCARRG0). To do this, choose Master data -> Budget structure -> Generate from schema. If you want to display all defined budget objects and posting objects for a BS with schema, you cannot set the indicator Use BS Schema. Otherwise, the schema is displayed.
Constraints
- If you want to define an assignment object, you cannot use a BS schema.
- If you want to change an existing budget structure, setting this indicator has no effect. The system branches automatically to the input type used to create the budget structure; with BS schema or without.
