Definition
Controls whether, in reporting requested quantities for a plant, the requested quantity is automatically adopted as the confirmed quantity.
Use
The confirmed quantity is automatically filled if it is already entered. If the requested quantity is changed, the confirmed quantity is automatically overwritten.
If the confirmed quantity is not automatically filled, it has to be entered manually using the "Edit reply" function.
This indicator has an effect on the following processes:
- Entering the requested quantity online in "Communication per plant"
- Entering the requested quantity via the SAP Retail Store
- Reporting the requested quantity via EDI (IDoc inbound)
- Entering a requested quantity for a promotion
When entering a requested quantity online in the "Edit reply" function, the requested quantity is not automatically adopted as the confirmed quantity.
Alternatives
- The confirmed quantity is not automatically filled.
- The confirmed quantity is automatically filled with the requested quantity.
- The confirmed quantity is filled under certain conditions.
The condition can be determined using a user exit (see enhancement WAUFT002). If no user exit is active, the confirmed quantity is NOT automatically filled.
Notes
- Quantity optimizing
If quantity optimizing is switched on in allocation tables (cf. rounding indicator), the confirmed quantity is optimized in line with the profile defined for the plant. The requested quantity is then always adopted as it is.
- Allocation tables referencing contracts
The system does not check for these items whether the confirmed quantity (if automatically filled) is greater than the open target quantity of the contract. No check is made when you are entering requested quantities online on the "Communication per plant" screen, in SAP Retail Store or reporting requested quantities by EDI (IDoc inbound).
Your choice of notification category determines whether the confirmed quantity is automatically filled by the requested quantity for items referring to a contract.
