Documentation
Definition
Identifies a particular set-up of an employer contribution rule.
Use
Sequence numbers allow you to define multiple employer contributions for one employee contribution. When the system calculates the employer contribution, each sequence number is applied separately to the complete employee contribution.
Each sequence number is capped by its limit if necessary and then the results from all the sequential numbers are added together to form the total employer contribution.
Example
Employee contribution is 3500.
Seq.no. ER contr. Limit Net ER contr.
01 3500 x 0.50 = 1750 1000 1000
02 3500 x 0.25 = 875 500 500
03 3500 x 0.10 = 350 250 250
Total employer contribution = 1750
Note
The number sequence and the numbers themselves do not influence the way calculation takes place.
You must allocate a sequence number even if you only have one set-up.
