Documentation
Definition
Valid-from date of the service in the form day month year.
Start and end dates are especially relevant for extended services (e.g. patient days), since overlaps may not occur here.
For immediate services (example: perform blood count), the same service may be entered several times a day for the same case.
Supplementary Documentation - BEGDTLEI 0001
Use
When you enter services, the system proposes the valid-from date of a service. Depending on whether you called the service entry transaction with regard to a case or a movement, the valid-from date is proposed as follows:
- You call service entry with regard to a case by choosing the required row in the case list. For inpatient and day patient cases, the system proposes the admission date, and for outpatient cases the date of the first outpatient visit as the start date of the service.
- You call service entry with regard to a movement by choosing the required movement row of the case in the case list. The system proposes the chosen movement as the start date of the service.
